![]() I wish they took reservations and I’d be here more often. Overall, we were pretty happy with the food. I wasn’t as much of a fan of the cranberry. I enjoyed the blueberry topped with streusel too. The red velvet still remains my favorite. ![]() The pancakes on the flight are still big and fluffy and definitely meant for sharing. It’s definitely a better deal to get the pancake flight rather than individual flavors. ![]() Pancake Flight: Red velvet, blueberry crumble, pancake of the day (something with cranberry filling) The Mission is still my favorite for French toast. OMG! French Toast (Fresh brioche stuffed with mascarpone, then griddled and topped with vanilla crème, salted caramel, agave soaked strawberries and toasted coconut.)Ī little too sweet for me. ![]() This burrito was full of all sorts of breakfast goodness and was big and filling. Snooze Breakfast Burrito (Filled with scrambled eggs, hash browns, house black beans, cheddar & jack cheese, topped with salsa fresca and your choice of green chili or ranchero) Still tasted good with the scrambled egg. We didn’t get the sunny side up egg because we wanted the baby mama to enjoy the sandwich too. Havana Daydreaming (Free-range house pulled pork, sliced ham, jack cheese, homemade pickles and a sunny side egg (or your call) with Dijon hollandaise served open face on a hoagie roll) I don’t remember if I liked it before, but I like this new version. Looking back at old pictures, it looks like the hash recipe has changed. Basically as crispy as you can get without deep frying it. I also really liked the potato hash which was very crispy. The Bella! Bella! was pretty to look at but I wasn’t as fond of the taste or that it sat on the ciabatta bread. Snooze lets you mix and match, so we chose the Bella! Bella! Benny (Thin slices of prosciutto, Taleggio cheese, and poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, topped with cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula) and Chilaquiles Benedict (Carne asada steak served on a cheesy, saucy, tortilla stack topped with poached Niman Ranch eggs, smoked cheddar hollandaise, fresh salsa and cotija cheese.) We decided to order several things from the menu and share.Įggs Bennies. By the time we sat down, we were starving. I don’t usually like to wait, but we have friends visiting who were on their “babymoon” and both FH and I really wanted to take them to Snooze. Since my post on the grand opening, this place has become ridiculously popular, with the wait somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour on weekends. We would have loved to have had time to explore more of their cocktails.Snooze remains one of our favorite brunch spots, mainly because of the pancake flight and the eggs benedict. The bloody mary was ordered "extra extra spicy" and it was! Apparently they infuse vodka themselves with hot peppers. Also, at this location we got mimosas and bloody marys. The "red-eye" (coffee with 2 espresso shots) was particularly good. Coffee was high quality, brewed appropriately. Their "add-ins / fillings" have a nice selection. Eggs were cooked to order, meats were yummy. Their sauces are well-made in such a manner as to be consistent, reliable examples of what they purport to be. I don't know what they use in their batter, but I'd pay for the actual recipe. They beat every pancake I've ever had in a pancake house. They're better than my homemade pancakes, and that's saying something. Just like in their location in Del-Mar, the pancakes were the best I've had in at least three decades. But this location was closer to some things we were doing down in the city, and it was a great experience. We also ate at (twice), and reviewed the location in Del-Mar, which was closer to where we stayed.
